Why did you join ¡Baila!?
"I joined ¡Baila! because I love dancing and wanted to practice my salsa skills! I was excited to connect with other people who share my passion for dance and be part of a community where I could celebrate Latin culture through dancing."
Isabela Gonzalez

Isa is originally from Cuba, but grew up in Miami. Some of her hobbies include reading, watching movies, keeping up with F1, and taking lots of pictures!

“I joined Baila because I wanted to improve my Latin dance skills, but also because it seemed like a great community!"

Ricky is from Caguas, Puerto Rico. Some of his hobbies include swimming, going to the gym, playing video games, and exploring cafés!

“Ever since I was young, I enjoyed dancing. To have the opportunity to do that here and take my mind off of things for a while was just what I was looking for.”

Paula is from Ponce, Puerto Rico. In her free time she enjoys painting, going to the beach, and of course dancing!
Why did you join ¡Baila!?
"I have been dancing since I was three years old. For me, dancing is much more than a hobby and has become an important part of my identity. Being a member of Baila! allows me to continue pursuing my passion for dance while staying connected to my Latin roots."

Abelardo or Lalo is from McAllen, a small town in southern Texas. During his free time he enjoys playing video games, watching movies, collecting vinyls, social dancing, and exploring Baltimore!
Why did you join ¡Baila!?
"I initially wanted to try out for Baila my freshman year but chickened out. With the encouragement of my friends I tried out my sophomore year and got in! I was in search of a Latino community that would remind me of home, and unexpectedly, I found that community in a Latin dance group. Baila helped me discover a passion for an art I had forgotten about.”

“I joined Baila because I always loved to dance at family parties and after I was dragged to a workshop and found out how fun the team is I knew I wanted to join”

Abril is from San Luis, Arizona. She enjoys going to the gym, trying new coffee places, and watching movies/shows.
Why did you join ¡Baila!?
"I grew up dancing reggaeton and hearing bachata, so I always knew I wanted to learn Latin dance. When I found Baila, they welcomed me with open arms and pushed me to grow in ways I never thought I could."

Derek is from Beardstown, a small rural town in Illinois. In his free time he enjoys playing video games, playing pickup soccer with his friends, and going on fun random adventures.
Why did you join ¡Baila!?
"I joined Baila my Freshman year because I was curious about Latin dancing, and I thought it was a good way to get out of my comfort zone and make new friends. In the end, I was convinced by my friend (aka Abril) to try out for auditions."
